Hmm...
I've waited for the new 5er for a year now...when I heard some rumor that it would incorporate some elements for the CS concept I was like "fucking A" that is the evil attityd I want. But seeing more and more of the F10 I must say that I am a bit disappointed..why? Because it is only an 'ok' design. For a Volvo, Toyota or something similiar reliable but boring the design would have been great. But this is my future $100k fat ass bimmer we are talking about and this design just don't cut it!

:-(

that particular car looks pretty bland etc, but I still stand by my previous comments and think its going to be a great looking car when kitted out with the right spec. Now put on some nice rims to fill out those arches, sports suspension / lower it, a decent M-Sport pack (PLEAAAAAAAASE BMW do that right!!!!), and then let Hamann and co. put some nice extras together for us and before you know it many of us will be singing its praises... I hope

xBMWx,
I had a girl friend like that once. She did new boobs, teeth, hair removal, liposuction, fake tan and breath mints; she was hot.
If we all have to this much to the F10, then BMW screwed up.

It's like the new 3 series, which I always thought looked like a Mitsubish Charisma from the back, until BMW did a quick redesign and fitted M style rear bumpers and it looked little better. It still looks wrong though, wrong proportrions, wrong rear design, underwhelming. They've since put some creases and folds in the bonnet and bodywork changed the light and it's now (4 years later) turning into hte car it always should have been

I've got a bad feeling this is what they are gonna do with the 5.

And I hope they ditch all that options stuff, so we get ipod connectivity, dual air con (in europe) bluetooth and nav all as standard, i mean this stuff is the 'the basics now' Internet connectivity would be good also.

To me, the shape is reminscent of the E39 which, to me, was the most beautiful 5 Series ever made. I am fine with the new shape. It is as ballsy and ground breaking as the E60's shape was when it came out? No. Does it look handsome and classic BMW? Absolutely.

Jeffnnj: see you in 2012 for an ED on one of these puppies.

I agree. I LOVE the E39 look. I was blown away by my friend's E39 M. That beast had style and power, yet remained true to the classic look.
