F10 2012 DVD Player solutions
 

Dealer is trying to solve the issues as my 2012 is not playing DVD in park mode. car is not in mute and it is in park mode and park brake on. But I can only use the preview of the movie and it does not show the chapters, therefore can't play DVD. They have talked to their Engineering department and they don't know why DVD player works on some cars and doesn't work on others. (Or maybe they don't want to disclose the issue??) They have completely updated all the software including Idrive firmware, but still no luck. They are willing to do anything as long as it fix the issue. Anyone knows what I need to tell dealer service department as they are clueless or had similar experience in this field?

Everything is working as it suppose to now. It seem like dealer didn't update Idrive as they suppose to. Just incase someone sees this type behavior, you need to insist dealer to update the Idrive
