Early reports on Run Flats?

I am taking delivery in about two weeks on a 535xi. I know the xi has same Goodyear LS2 run flats tires as standard 535i without sport package, 245/45/18. I understand there is no trunk area for either a mini spare or a standard size tire. Is that true? If so my run flat choices in that size are limited.
How are the Goodyear LS2 Run Flats? Heard not so good on snow and ice?

I have Goodyear Excellence runflats on my 550i. So far I don't have too many complaints....seems to grip better and are less noisy than the ones I've had on my previous 545i. Traction in the rain is ok but I'm definately swapping it out for snow tires next month. All-seasons, whether run-flats or not, do not perform as well in the snow as dedicated winter tires. If you get a lot of snow in your area, I highly recommend you look into those.
Next Spring or Summer, I'm probably going to get some aftermarket wheels or the M-Sport rims and might get rid of the run-flats then.

My fear if I get rid of the run-flats later on is that there is no room in the trunk for a spare....so if I get a flat out on the road, I'm screwed. I guess I'm stuck with 'em.

It came standard in my M3 (no runflats and no spare) but BMW offers a "mobility kit" which includes a large can of sealant and a small compressor. I bet the BMW version is pretty pricey but surely you can buy the sealant and a small compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter and make your own for your trunk...
