Rudy, you up for starting F10.net?!
Ditto that. It seems like we see several posts a week now about the next generation 5 series. We should have an F10 Forum here - now - to keep the discussion focused ... and separate from other E60 stuff.

Great to read about confirmation of the schedule for the F10. I'm bettin' we won't see it until Fall 2010 here in the U.S. Heck, it doesn't even look like the new 7 series (of which we've seen very few spy shots or sketches of) will arrive here by Fall 2008. And the E65 was here in Spring 2001 as a 2002 model. The latest on the new seven sounds like we may see it early in 2009.

BMW FS will only extend a lease in increments of a year and they will not even quote you a rate until you are within 60 days or termination. The exception is that they will let you go month to month if you provide them with a production number but that would only give you a maximum of a couple of months. My thinking is that they will unveil the new model in March and production should start a few months later, making a 30 month lease about right.
Not true... I have seen three cases in my office alone that are exactly as I described in my post. One was a straight six month extension, others by month, and NONE of the circumstance you stated applied...

I think someone already parked most of the "F10" domains...

It'll be interesting to see how things evolve though -- remember that the planets had to be aligned just right to make this place so great. It's going to be hard to duplicate that again so maybe Lomag will just add an F10 forum so we can all hang out here.

(I think it'll be way easier to convince him if he ends up getting an F10...das too! )

Agreed....no need for a seperate F10 forum...great crowd here - let's keep growing this one Perhaps change the name of this one to include the F10 name and (obviously) the F10 would have it's own forum within this one.

That's good to know. Why don't you call BMW Financial Services, talk to Lindsay in the Lease End Department and tell her she lied to me on the phone this afternoon.

Sorry for trying to help you by providing information that I know to be accurate... I personally helped my coworkers with the extension of their BMWFS leases. I'll know better than to try to help you next time...

Maybe things work differently in California then they do in NJ. Who knows. What I do know is that if they allowed a month to month extension I would definitely opt for a 2 year lease.

swajames, perhaps some more detail on how you were able to help get the leases extended? Did you simply call BMWFS and they said yes? I don't think Jeff's answer was quite as saracstic as you clearly found it. He called BMW in a good faith effort and was given an answer. And that answer was counter to your experience, that doesn't make it wrong. Maybe BMW has changed its stance. Or perhaps you have some powers of persuasion that Jeff lacks! Maybe if you offered some guidance as to how you made it happen rather than just saying you did it would be helpful to Jeff.

As the others have said, I don't think you can get a 30 month lease...
Whaddaya mean no 30 month lease? I currently have a 30 month lease, and today at the dealer, my sales guy reviewed with me the 30 month MF's for leasing, as well as the others.

Okay then, I guess you can get a 30 month lease...
