"Based on the latest and some of the most revealing spy photos of the 2011 BMW 5 Series, our friend Jon Sibal decided to show us what could be hiding underneath that very light camouflage.

Judging by the spy shot posted by us earlier today, we believe the rendering is very close to the actual design, maybe with a slight adjustment at the bottom of the headlights area.

Looking at the car from this angle, the sleek, svelte look is in line with what we have seen so far. The rendering also features a low roofline and short overhangs, design cues that we’ve been mentioning several times in the past few months."

hmmm.. i dare say that i might like it like this (even though the headlights are still "safe")

If this is close to the final look, I like it. A lot of resemblance to the E39.

Can't say I like it sorry.

Why do people keep trying to fix what's not broken, they should have kept the E60 design.

it looks like a bigger E90, with a few tweaks.

The nose just looks "smashed". Looks like someone through on the front end of a 06-08 e90 on a much wider and larger sedan.

Minus those enlarged kidneys.

Take away the kidney grills and it might as well be another Toyota, Mazda, Honda, or whatever. Absolutely LIFELESS design. Shame, really.

I would say the uglieness of this render is the fault of bmwblog and not BMW. I will make my judgement based on the real car and not this

Get used to the smashed front end look. The new, stricter, pedestrian safety standards are dictating this design...
