Can anyone explain what the AUTO H button below the auto shifter is for please?

It's an auto hold feature. It applies the parking brake to hold the car on a hill for example. Simply press the gas to release it. It will activate any time the car comes to a stop.

And, I'll add, it feels strange when you use it!

Not yet sure if it's something I'll use after adjusting to it or not...

Consdiering that we have no hills in New Orleans, I know that I'd never use it!!

Auto H is also cool to use if you are in stop and go traffic. The car won't roll forward when you let off the brake pedal.

But Active Cruise in stop and go traffic is all you need...

1. Auto H is not so much for hills as for stop lights. Well, stop lights and hills. It kills AT creep, and that's a good thing. I wasn't sure I'd like it ? but it works slick.
2. Stop-and-go in the expensive cruise control is not the same thing at all. It won't stop the car for a red light unless the car in front of you stops first.

I actually lost a deal on an M6 today because it's not available with Active Cruise. Who would have thought?
