535i shutting off every few days
 

Hi,

I have a 2013 535i xdrive - and I've been having an issue recently where if the car is parked, I try to turn it on and it doesn't start. It cranks, turns over, shudders and dies. I wait an hour and car is perfectly fine until the next 2-3 days until it happens again. There are no error codes on iDrive or in the scan tool. Only thing it displays on iDrive is "auto start stop disabled..."

My guesses were the battery or something to do with the fuel pump - however, battery would cause issues with electronics but everything works fine even if the car doesn't start.

Anyone had a similar issue?

Any ideas would be helpful
