Has anyone recently bought the 2011 528i?
It seems that the current going price is around dealer invoice, and there is a $1500 BMW holiday cash. So is anyone getting the new F10 at ~$1000 below invoice?
Is this a good time to buy? Or, there will be better deals after the New Year? The BMW holiday cash expires 1/3/2011.
I priced the 528i with some options right at the $50k for invoice.

I've ordered nearly every option, so I don't know whether that matters at all.
I have no idea if I could have done better, but I simply emailed the desired configuration including MSRP and invoice pricing to five dealers and asked for best and final prices by return email by a deadline. (I test drove the car while waiting for mine to be serviced.) The responses came within a couple of hours in every case but one, who waited until the deadline. (No idea why since he was the highest?) One of the dealers insisted on repeated phone calls to "determine whether I had any questions" and refused to provide any type of price quote without my visiting the dealership, which I never did.
This is the second time that I've purchased a car this way - i.e., both BMWs, the other is a 2009 528xi. As I say, I have no idea whether I could have done better, but this was a very painless process that required a minimal time investment and zero back and forth with the dealers. Most of the dealers (i.e., both BMW and M
