Does anyone know how to delete currently stored driver profiles? BMW documentation on driver profiles is very brief with no detail information. Any help would be appreciated.

Why can't you set things the way you want and store over it again?

I have found no way to delete a driver profile. You can redo the profile and it is saved, however if someone not familiar with the car and I-drive functions changes something by accident or lack of knowledge (Button Pushing, Knob Turning) then the profile is messed up. No way to lock profile to prevent this that I can find. You can save profiles to flash drive (Back Up), I strongly suggest this. Over engineered car but lacks in I-drive software.

I would also like to be able to delete the third driver and guest profile options. I see no way an owner can do this.

Control systems should be designed to be idiot proof and user software secured by password, etc.

Any opinions or suggestions?

In addition to the USB drive, you could use one of the spare profile slots to store a back-up copy of the "current" profile. This way, you have an "online" copy you can revert to if something in the main one gets messed up.

You just have to remember to copy things if you make a change, etc.
