Because if I need the space I either get the fold down rear seats or if that's not enough I get the touring/wagon. I don't see a need for a hatch back, and frankly Eric is right, it will likely lead to more and more rattles. Can you imagine the creaking seals in the hatch back. Heck, BMW can't even correct the issue with a pretty standard door!

This may mean we'll loose the top latch located on the package shelf used to tie down the top part of car seats for those of us that have them in the back.

Its free marketing research for them. Throw this out and see what people respond with. Why pay research companies hundredes of thousands of dollars to do it when you can drive one around or post a photoshop pic and read messageboard responses?
