Hi everyone.

Please look at this link:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...25&hg=51&fg=10

I cannot obtain part 51167168180 and part 51167168181 here in the US

I was wondering if someone can find out for me how much they cost in EU?

any suggestions on where/how to buy them to get them to me are welcome as well :-)

No foreseeable trips over there for the time being :-(

I checked out the glass prices for someone here last year. There is a thread about it somewhere, but I don't remember where...

Anyway, it cost approximately $475 (if I recall correctly) for the glass. Not cheap when you include 22% VAT! It makes better sense to buy M5 mirrors from someone in the EU - they already have this wide angle perspective glass.

I have the left hand wide angle mirror and love it - it saved my but several times! I carried it over from my gone '06 530xiT to my '10 535xiT. My nephew who works in Geneva bot it for me in '06 and hand carried it to me. He had to go to the dealer three times, so he doesn't talk to me anymore. As I recall it cost about $350 - but that was 2006 and in Switzerland.

Pls recheck the part numbers. Most US cars have 'autodip', we call them "Auto-dimming mirrors" - if your car came with a 'premium' pac it probably has them. The part numbers at RealOEM are different.

You might try calling a dealer in the EU and asking them to ship by Fedex - that help you could avoid the VAT. It may not work, but is worth the try IMHO.

Best of luck.
