vkhong, you are da man. thanks, I was there but didn't see it the first couple of times. any theories why I'm missing 3 out of 4 of them?
Well.. I destroyed one of mine while jacking the car up and not being careful enough..

That could be one theory....

Thanks for the photo Yeewiz - just wanted to make sure I was thinking of the right bit! I'm going to try to make something that fits into these (an adapter of sorts) so I can use my 2-ton hydraulic trolley jack and not mess up the jack pads.

I'm thinking the same as you mantraguy, looks like a block 55mm (l) x 28mm (w) x 14mm (h) on top of a base will make a perfect adapter

Yeah, I can see it being pretty useful. I have access to a milling machine (not CNC, unfortunately - an old school manual job!) so if I can get some chunks of aluminum stock, I'll mill up some adapters. If they turn out well, I'll post photos (maybe I can go into business - hee hee!).

geez, for $25, you'd think there was some serious engineering and moving parts. at that price, I'll fab it up with scrap lumber lying around
