As in the title what sort of average mpg are you guys getting?
My 525d (with a remap) is doing average 27.4 to work and back which i think is abit poo!
Just wondering is that low compared to you guys?

i'm getting about 11mpg around town and 23 on a run ,

530dAT with 218hp, no remap:
- 38 mpg (UK) on a long calm run (B-roads)
- 33 mpg (UK) on a more aggressive long run (B-roads) or motorway
- 27 mpg (UK) in easy city traffic
- 23 mpg (UK) in heavy city traffic, with jams

... which version of the 525d is it? At the face of it 27.4 or around 8.5 lit/100 kms seems a bit high; especially if it's an LCI.

Its a 2006 pre LCI 2.5 175bhp model remapped to approx 220bhp

My 535d averages 29mpg with an 11 mile commute.

On a long steady run it will do over 40mpg.

Have u checked your coolant tempreture? Sustained cool running could be affecting your efficiency.

Is that BC data, or checked via refill at the gas station?

I've checked it in the hidden menu on a warm day driving the 14 mile journey home from work and in traffic it was around 88 degrees and on free running it went down to around 70 degrees.
How does that compare to correct temps for these engines?
