Fortunately we've got Dynamic Drive to offset the leaning because of that roof (40kgs+ seems plausible, ever lifted the panels?)

But as stated before: the kids (I include myself) love it so much!

They are very heavy... that is why I brought them up in the first place.

Over here one could just go to a truck stop and drive the car on the scales....and get a weight, then do the same with your fellow 5series forum members sedan....But it's been like 15 years since I was in Europe and I can't really remember seen a "Truck stop" in Germany/Aus/Swit/Lich on the Highways, just gas stations/service centers.

That's interesting - mine is an 06 530xi and scales exactly the same as yours even though I have a lighter engine...
I guess its the sunroof and the full tank of gas...
PS: Nice to see another Bulgarian on the forum!
I guess we are in love with BMWs :)

Bringing up this thread again...

My 535xiT 4,300 lbs with a full tank (4,550 when I drive)

Can anyone confirm the weight of the pano roof? Either the actual weight of the unit or the difference of an E61 with it vs. without.

Thanks,
Evan

I drilled holes in my pano sunroof to lighten it up. It's good for 8hp.

Not sure the point of this post, it wasn't funny and it definitely wasn't helpful.

Sorry for the failed attempt at humor. No more sunroof jokes. I didn't mean to detract from the thread.

I thought it was funny. Evan is a bit tense IMHO. :P
Probably from replacing those inserts!

Anyway, regarding the weight, this is the official data from the brochure:

Manual transmission: 4101 lbs
Steptronic transmission: 4145 lbs

Weight distribution, front/rear
