Default weight of E61 comparred to E60

What is the extra weight of the E61 (touring) comparred to the E60 (sedan) ? And what does this mean for performance ? Fuel consumption ?

I understand the cars are the same length, but the E61 just has the extra metal and glass to square-off the back-end. I read somewhere that this adds another 90kg ? which seems like a lot of extra weight. If it's that much weight it must totally transform the suspension set-up and handling with extra 90kg hanging over the rear axle.

I thought that it is in the region of 90 kg.
The extra weight also comes from the airsuspension in the rear.

... that's an option in most countries - so it's 90 kgs without the roof!

There's some detail in the handbook.
E61 is longer but has shorter wheelbase
E60 535d is 1735kg, E61 535d is 1830kg - all without options.
All above is Pre-LCI
All I know about performance is that 10kg = 1/10th second per lap ;-)

I think the E61 has slightly better front/rear weight distribution versus the E60 ie 50/50
(without the AWD)

I read somewhere that the panoramic sunroof adds 200 kg and the comfort seats upfront another 100 kg.
Add big wheels and run flat tyres (mine are 18 inch OEM, 26 kg each), and I think I understand why the allowed additional weight of passengers and luggage together is a ridiculous 460 kg. There is so much added weight from factory that its utilizing a significant part of the car's load capacity.

Seriously, I would be very interested in someone measuring the weight of a 530d or 535d E61 with auto gearbox, panoramic sunroof, comfort seats, and a few other options. Also weight front axle / rear axle would be very interesting.

If I manage to do it, I will post the results.

Same here, would also know how much my car really weighs...

But the panoroof is probably in the region of 20-30 kilos extra weight.
