I had to pay for the kit ? 45,00 and 1.5 hours installation only.

This price seems some "mistake" as BMW also asked for an additional ? 300, (handling and special VR software).:(

I was lucky though as both my dealer and I did were not informed about this at order date so we did not have to pay the additional money. :)

ask your dealer for exact pricing for belgium. What I can do with the VR ?: well frankly speaking it has been since long that somebody is really listening to me and is doing what I ask ;)

car was re-coded from German to UK English commands today and everything seems perfect now.

Frankly speaking it is quite funny to have yet another Brit in the car; hearing her accent she doesn't seem family from the nav voice girl though ;)

BTW after recoding the car, the iDrive languages went from D, GB and F to GB, F and ES.

Interested to hear if all UK cars have this latter language choice setup.

Don't you think it's enough to enable VR in the car's software and use the VR button on the wheel instead? Just a thought...

don't know, you could ask your dealer though. I am almost sure you will need an optional micro.
