I've had personal experience with such deposits on a few of my cars.. the worst is our minivan. What's the solution? You heat up your brakes as if you are properly bedding the brakes. You need to get your car going at a nice clip.. 60mph and brake hard down to 30mph or so 4 or 5 times, then bring it down from 60 to almost zero. Being careful not to just park your car and keep your foot on the brake because when you do this, the pads melt and leave a deposit back on it. What you're doing is cooking/scraping off all the surfaces and making them smooth again. It really does work.. the problem is finding a good space to do it in. And the next problem is how fast until it comes back? If you're out to humor yourself.. do it.. you might be surprised at the results.
very interesting. i have never heard this before but conceptually it makes sense.

out of curiosity, why is it that rotors dont warp anymore? are they made from a different type of metal that is less subject to warping under extreme heat?

can you provide a link to the article?

Just pop the question on google.. why don't brake rotors warp. But I'm pretty sure I read it from a brake company .. and saw it in many other places.

Just did it for you.. here's one from stoptech.
