Thumbs up

Headlights fogging up.

Has anybody noticed vapor inside their pre LCI headlight?

Just bought the car (see intro section...) and new to BMW. Can't say that I remember
ever owning a car that had vapor on the inside of the headlights.

Thx.

My car is an LCI but the headlight misting issue is on these as well.

Mine looked like this

Once BMW saw the pictures they replaced the headlights under warranty and they have never done it since.

I have the same issue with my E61, and my fog lamps also do it. I never had this "problem" with my E39, however.

I have a same issue, but not very often and not that much as in Dandle's pictures. I remember that some forum member has got new headlights under warranty and I think that you should demand them as well Dandle. That amount of humidity will decrease lightning power (or how should I say it?). In the pictures the vapour is in the corners, but I guess that its not like that when you first turn on the lights.

The only time that I have noticed this is after getting the car washed (like today) and it is not as bad as those pics. I have also noticed that the moisture goes away after the car has been sitting in my heated garage.

The LCI front and rear light upgrade sounds nice, but that costs 5700? installed.

They were replaced with new light units once BMW saw those pictures. The new light units dont mist up at all.

Minor or not, it shouldn't be happening...I would have your dealer take a look at it
