I just picked up my car from a SW update. The main issue for this upgrade was hard shifts.
I have just driven it some 30km, but I can say that the new software is much better than the previous one. It shifts much smoother both up/down and the response from the engine is also smoother and better.
There have been issues with rew going up and down on the 535d. I have not looked at this yet so I don't know if this solved that too.

Hi!
I don't have the version number, but I think this was released about 1 month ago if I understood all correct. The special with it was the new programs for the transmission and engine.

mine's going in on Tues. There's a problem with pickup from start which hopefully it will fix - from standing, put foot down, then there's a momentary lapse before the power is engaged.

I would update CIP first and then remap the car. Otherwise the CIP may wipe out the map.
Agree, update software before remap or it may get wiped.

I have now got what version was loaded. It's V25 in the car now and it still works fine.
The shifting was a little strange the first km, but I got an explanation that it was due to reset of the adptation memory for the transmission. It held very long in each gear in the start, but now it shifts more or less like I want.
KAF: I have heard that they have replaced some converters and even some gearboxes on 535d's so it might be a hardware problem with your car.

I guess this coincided with the facelift... my hope is they made an extra effort to get the software right before the updated model was released....
