What exactly does this module do? The guy before took all the hatch hydraulics out but this module was all burnt up and I pulled it out just I don't know what it does or other little things. I am sure there is an open fuse somewhere because of this.

It controls the lift gate. You can't open it electronically without it

Ok, Thanks. Since I don't have any of the hardware, is it a problem not having this module installed?

Also, another question I have, When I park my car, I notice that back end of my car is sagging after I get of out the Car. Is the Air supposed to stay in the air bags for a while or automatically deflates when I turn CAR off. I wonder if the one of the bags has a hole on in it and the pump is constantly running while I am driving. Check valves bad?

It's just an inconvenience. You car should not be sagging. You may have a leak. You should have an error message.

So for 2 Weeks, I was able to start the car up every time with not problem. I parked the car up the same way with the rear of the car higher than the front. Opened and closed the Driver side door and the one behind it . Never once opened up the Passenger door or the door behind that one.

Today, I went to add 2 Qt's of Oil and popped the hood up and I had the Driver side door open for a couple of second. Boom, the Short showed up.

Another thing that I have been noticing that when I unlock the Doors ieverytime, My CD Changer goes through its booting sequence. I don't normally use that.

Makes me wonder if the problem in in the Wire harness in the engine compartment going to the DME. In the past, I have had the Hood Closed and short showed up so not sure about that.

This short is elusive as hell.

Its probably not what you think it is. I'd keep reading the codes for clues.

So, one more thing. I charged the battery, it turned ON I was trying to connect inpa and had a laptop issue and gave up. I disconnected everything and was walking away from the car and noticed the Left side Parking light was ON. In the front headlight, the left Angle eyes were ON. I looked inside and Light switch was OFF. I went to start the Car, the short appeared and would not start. Then Angle Eye and parking lights went off. Now I am wondering if the light module is bad. I need a BMW exorcist.

You're going to be wondering for days if you don't read the codes.

I have a Set of Codes. I will post it Here. I do have the codes from INPA. Just have to figure out how to post it since there are tons of them. I sorted it on Excel and I know what each are just posting here in a organized way. There are too many codes. Even after I cleared it. I have to see if I can convert it to a picture file.

This constant snow storms are not helping me on isolating this problem. So this is one picture of all the Errors that I can show. The ones with the Alarm, I pulled the fuse since my alarm was going off 2 AM. Alarm is not my main concern. I did pull the Liftgate module out so that is another red one. My Satellite module is also red . The rest of the Yellow ones all seem to have some kind of issue and I assume any one of them could be causing my problem. I am still looking. I will try to load a snap shot of INPA issues later on. There is so much data to look at and I don't know which one is worth chasing and which one isn;t.
