Trunk fuse box from E60 in E61
Hello everyone,
My 2009 E61 got some serious water damage in the notorious trunk area. Car drives, but I have "Christmas lights" all over the cluster and my PDC, TPMS and tailgate soft-close mechanism is not working. I started a very long list of troubleshooting and found that my trunk fuse box was damaged by the sunroof drain.
Several pins broke off. I looked up the part number for the fuse box (61149138830) and found one from the 2008 535xi.
The only result from Google search "if it's directly swappable" comes to this neglected thread:
https://5series.net/forums/e60-discu...ion%5D-142641/
My question is: is it really only the dealership that can swap these fuse boxes? Anyone with experience swapping those? Thank you in advance.

Look at this link:

If I am reading correctly this part is compatible with all years all models E60-64. Take your part and go to your nearest junk yard and pick one (or two) for the price of a case of beer.
I am in the same bucket and going to pick one up today from the local breaking yard.
