Hi everybody,

My car is equiped with an original Westfalia towbar. I bought it already equiped. I'm trying to remove the "ball/hook" (i don't know the name in english), but it seems impossible.
I put the key, and it's impossible to pull the knob. Is the key must be turned before to pull the snob?
Someone have this kind of towbar?
Would it be possible to make a video of the removing?
Thank you in advance for your informations.

You have to turn the key and the lever, then normally you can remove it.
Unless it has been on there a couple of years, then it will be stuck.

I have this towbar. It comes with an instruction manual that provides the removal process, do you have the instruction booklet.

I never fitted the towbar yet, it is still in the trunk, so I cannot provide any practical guidance about how to remove it.

If you are really stuck I can scan the removal page from the instruction booklet and post here. Otherwise suggest a visit to BMW service, they probably won't charge you to help remove it.

Thanks for your scan proposal, but I have mine.
I already visit my Bmw shop, but they didn't reach to remove it, and they don't know why!!?
Finaly I think that my problem is due to my key, it seems not be the good one, i need to find a supplier with a kind of key pass....
to be continued...
