Default Tow bat E61 LCI

Hey

Spent a day putting on a detachable tow bar last weekend. Pretty easy to be honest to do yourself. I didn't buy the rear splitter pre cut i done it myself any to be fair its not a bad job.

To take the rear bumper off there are

4 x 8mm bolts around the wheel arch in both arches

just under the bottom bolt there is a removable rivet (these gave me some jip so i pulled the plastic part off the bottom and pushed it up through so i could use them again.

if you open the boot there are two plastic caps on each bottom side in the corners. pop these off and there is a bolt there.

underneath i believe there are three more of those removable rivets i did the same with all of these

Thats is the bumper needs a little persuasion but it comes off.

The electrics are a bit of a pain i only bought the universal bit for 20 quid rather than 150 for the bmws specific.

i have all the wire colours ect if you need them i could post them. took some time fluking them....

Anyone try the e70 X5 wiring harness package, seems like the parts would carry over.
