Seeing as we all like to see pictures here in the forum, here are a few I took yesterday after washing the car and parking near another E61 with a nice set of M5 rims
They are taken with a phone-camera, so unfortunately not good quality, sorry! I did however play around with some of the pictures using microsoft picture editor/ paint, but it was definitely a "hit and miss" approach and absolutely no skill or understanding involved what so ever

Car specs: E61 530d, M-Sport pack (incl. aerodynamic pack and m-sport suspension), OEM 19" type M172 rims, rear window tints.

And these are probably the last pictures of my car with standard mirrors... I just ordered a set of OEM M5 mirrors

Love your E61. If I owned a wagon, I'd want it to look like that. Badass!

Great move... and welcome to the "E61 172M Club"

Seriously, I think this forum has contributed to that my local dealer has started to put 172M's on their demo cars too! I was the first E61 with these wheels where I live for almost a year, but last week I saw two more at the mall parking and another one driving in the village.

Thanks mate! It was your car that really helped me choose the rims

As it happens, I was actually planning on swapping to my 128 rims for summer (which I currently use for winter) and then having the M172s for winter, maybe painted "chrome shaddow". The problem with the 128s is that they make all other 19" rims look small. It always takes me a couple of months to get used to my summer rims again, i.e. not looking at them and thinking they are too small! However I've now come to the point where I really like these M172 rims. It is a very stupid problem to have

Yep. His E61 is awesome. And a lot of fun to chase on the Autobahn.

...oh, that was you was it?

thanks mate! In addition to the M5 mirrors, I also took your advice and am buying some AEs and Licence Plate LEDs. I have a week's holiday at home before we go to Sweden, so I need to find something to keep me occupied...

Nice pics. BTW, it wasn't the camera or your photo skills. That harsh lighting and reflections would make it tough to get a good shot.
