Time to say goodbye...
Well, we've now owned our E61 530d for 5 years and 70,000 miles.
The loan's paid and it's time for something new.
So we've just done a deal on a 4-year old Misano Red A6 Avant 3.0TDi Le Mans.
Lovely car, low miles and hopefully everything we want from a car.
Should pick it up this weekend, if not early next week.
Just like to say thank you for all the advice, help and general friendliness I encountered here.
TTFN.

PS: I'm selling my winter wheels and tyres and the BMW space saving spare too.
If anyone's interested.

The Avant looks beautiful
Keep us updated on the reliability - given the problems you had with the E61 it will not be hard to beat it.
And fuel consumption - generally the A6 is known to be thirstier by 1-1.5L / 100km, would be good to know if your experience confirms this.
Are you selling the jack kit separately? If yes, I might be interested.

The winter tyres and wheels are currently on fleabay, but I can only sell up to £650 in one month so I can't list the spare wheel too. (I've got a few other bits and bobs on there).
I was looking for about £150 for it. Have a look at other spare wheels on ebay to see what they go for (cheapest I could find was £200) and see if you think this is reasonable. If so, give me a shout.
