Hi all,
I'm thinking of getting some DOTZ Mugello 18" for my E61 - ready for the summer :-)

Front: 18" x 8.5 with 245/40/18
Rear: 18" x 9.5 with 275/40/18
(Are these the correct Tyre size for these?)

Question: Will these fit onto my E61 without any mods? Particularly worried about the rear one :-)

Thanks in advance!

245/40 is ok in front. Better size in the rear would be 285/35. What is the ET of your wheels?? Personally I would go with at least 19" on an E61 especially rims with a lip. They just look small on a big car..

They would be ok for your winter setup. NOT 18" for the summer. Way too small on such a big car.

Well, the roads are pretty good here but as always, it's down to budget ???. Hadn't thought about spending that much for 19" - will it really look that bad?
Any suggestions/set-up recommendation for other 18" wheels?

Thanks

Nono, your car will look fine with 18". On a forum like this you will always get replies like "Buy a 545" when asking "I'm thinking buying a 530". 18" isn't bad at all, but if you have the budget 19" will look much better - it's a fairly big car.

You need to find out the ET for the wheels to understand if you need spacers or not.

Front ET20
Rear ET18

Do I need spacers?

Will do the maths and have a look at the 19" :-)

Thanks all!

Original wheels often come in ET 18 or 20 so you should be fine! Happy hunting and post pics of the car with the new rims!

Other thing you may need are hub rings, depending on the center bore of the wheel, since I believe that the wheels are hubcentric. Not a big ticket item, but I believe that E61s are 72.6 or there about (at least the x-drives are). If the center bore is a different size, they will cause vibration without a hub ring.
