Tailgate Water Problem

My Ride: F11 535i M-Sport,, Silver, Black Leather, LED Adaptive headlights
Model Year: 2015
Engine: N55
After rain or washing the car, if I open the tailgate a considerable amount of water is dispersed from the black trim between the struts and the bottom edge.
This runs into the back of the car.
Anyone else having similar problems?
It seems the water is collecting in the black trim until it is able to escape upon opening the tailgate.

I never noticed it. We had some very heavy rain and i don't remember noticing it when i opened the tailgate.

Dealer say it is 'normal'.
