Hello. Newbie here. First post.
I have a 2006 530xiT E61 wagon. It has the panoramic sunroof. I had to remove the headliner in order to get to the sunroof sun shades. Long story short I found these spring things laying up in there. Has anybody seen these things before and know where they go? I'm thinking anti-rattle... Thanks!

 

Are you sure the Sunroof Motor (s) wires are disconnected?

Also remember that Calibration must be done whenever the battery is low or when there is something wrong with the sunroof.

Calibration is possible with INPA or ISTAL, for example

 

Could be the motor itself that is rattling. There should be a cushion of some sort between motor and headliner.
