Ok, I found a set of original style 172's for just ? 900,-. It's a used set, with just two scrapes on it (which can easily be repared). The wheels come with Uniroyal tires with 4mm in front and 6mm rear.

I used the search, but there are different opinions on the use of spacers. I would like to use them without spacers (the wheels are ET32 and with 275-30-19 tyres), because I don't want the wheels coming to the outside too much.

Please help!

What you need to do is either buy 4 front wheels or by spacers for the rear wheels. BMW could have been cooperative here and put two version to the market, E60 with ET 18 (8,5x19")/ET 32 (9,5x19") and one E61 ET 18 (8,5x19") /ET 18 (8,5x19"). But they for some reason didn't.

Hello,
in our E61, we used the 172M with no spacers, and 275 tires in rear, and haven't problems.
But, for a look question, we bought a couple of spacers after 3000km.

Thanks for all the advice!

Unfortunately, this is a used set, and I don't have the option to buy 4 'frontwheels'.

@fontes79: are you sure they fitted without rubbing on the inside? Are you completely sure that you used 9.5J in the rear (not just mounted 275 tyres on 8.5J wheels)?

As you can see in the next images, we have 9,5 wheels in the rear, and with no Spacers. But as you can also see,in the last pictures, a think the wheels is too inside for my taste, and then we prefer to use some 13mm spacers to but them a little bit outside.
I can't promise that in your car, you won't have problems, but when a bought this ones, i also have the "problem" with esitation. What i see then, it't there are many people with 9.5 in rear and have no problems. But officialy BMW don't approve it! Take your conclusions.

Damn! That looks hot!

I think I'm just going to buy the wheels. In the worst case, I have to use spacers.
Looks like you have an LCI model, mine is pre-LCI and also with sport suspension, so I hope they will fit!
