My Ride: 2010 535 xi - M Sport Pkg & other goodies
Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good option too then. Anything to avoid installing a piggy on an ECU harness is a good thing!

I just bought a Neptune blue (A85) E61!
I thought that Neptune blue was a rare color due to not seeing any others but only 4 were sold in NA? That's crazy. I love the car and like the options it has. It is a 2010 with comfort seats, HUD, cold weather and tech packages.

Wow, that's a nice find and mix of options. How many miles? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

It has 96k on it and I got it for $16,900 with a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. I was going to lunch and saw it sitting at a high-end European dealership and within 5 days worked out the deal and drove it home. I have done a few things to it since I purchased it. Some under warranty and others I paid for. I do have to say having a warranty is the only way to go with one of these cars. Under warranty I have had the starter replaced, turbo solenoid replaced and two coils. The work I have paid for is a walnut blast and new spark plugs.
I have always loved wagons. Owned a 1975 AMC Matador wagon for years. LOVED that car! I could fold the seats down and get a full sheet of plywood in the back and close the tailgate. Not too many cars you can say that about these days,

QQ, how long are your clutches lasting?
Just picked up a super high mileage (160k) six speed. The dealer didn't have record of clutch work but could have been done at an indy.

My Ride: 2003 525iT, 2008 550i MSport Manual
This thread is kind of old, but I'm new and have a related statistics question: How many Manual E60 550i M-sport were made for North America?

I owned a pre LCI manual last summer for a bit. Nice car. Now own an LCI auto. Still feeling the car out. I like it but am still scared of it breaking on me. Hahahaha. See how it goes for about 12 months and go from there.
