Yes, we (Team Wife and I) are talking about it!

We are also trying to nail down our dates for Central Europe, and I will reply to that other thread when we get our stuff figured!

Figured I should post an update of my progress so far:

Changed air filter and checked the breather filter at the same time. Had the upgraded breather - good stuff!

Also got me some other goodies that I will start installing this coming weekend

Now I'm only waiting for the matte black emblem to be restocked in Trinity and then I'm done modding for a while ( yeah right...)

Next mod is new summer rims to the replace the M5 rims (that don't fit with my spacers )... so to put a back on my face, I'm buying myself a set of OEM M172 19" rims
You say the M5 (I'm assuming 166 style) rims don't fit your car with "your" spacers? Just what kind of spacers are you running? I was under the impression that 166 style rims would fit on the car no problem?

If you have the M5 M166 staggered set-up, with ET28 on the rear, you will need a 10mm spacer to avoid rubbing on the inside of the arch. They fit no problem on the E60, but on the E61 you need the spacers out back because of the Touring's air suspension that takes up more space. If you have the M6 M166 staggered set-up, with ET17 on the rear, you can fit them to the E61 without spacers. An alternative approach, which a number of members have done here is to fit 4 front wheels with ET12 -- no spacers needed.

As for my spacers, they are H&R 15mm spacers that I have fitted to the rear. These are ideal for my type 128 staggered (winter) set-up, with ET32 on the rear, but with the M5 M166 rims the 15mm spacers push them into the outer arch because of the lower ET value of ET28. I did not want to go through the hassle of having to change my spacers each time I change from winter to summer set-ups, so decided to sell (my beloved) M166 rims and replace them with the M172 rims, which have the same ET32 value as the 128 rims.

I hope that all makes sense

Well that's one way of avoiding your knuckles getting cut up whilst replacing your grills... buy an M5 front bumper and pre-fit the grills Looking forward to seeing those mods. Very jealous about the M5 mirrors, but I still refuse to spend the money on them... other mods first

I assume it would be very hard to find 4 ET12 rims for sale somewhere, unless you are buying from the dealer

Correct. Either a dealer or someone you know. A couple of the guys here have sold their 4x front rims to other E61 owners. My old M166 (staggered) rims also ended up with another E60.NET member. Its worth keeping an eye out here in the forums.

Two German companies that offer 4x OEM 19" rims are:
Lissy Tuning
Salesafter

I bought my M166 and M172 rims from Lissy Tuning. Some times takes a while to get a response, but the prices are good (for Germany) and I found them helpful when it came to delivery / fitting. Just PM me if you need any help with translation or chasing these people.

p.s. if you are still running the "x" 4wd model you will need different offsets anyway -- plenty of posts about that subject!

When you post up the M5 dial pics, maybe you could also upload some side-profile pics into your ACS Roof Spoiler post... thanks!
Ok, last weekend, I did some minor cleaning of the E61 in preparation for a quick road trip to south eastern Sweden. I managed to sort of get a pic or two of the spoiler, however, not a full side shot. Beer drinking got in the way...

Anyway, here it is.
