I will, and guess that means running 2 sets of wires between amp and each sub - but that shouldnt be twice the work.
discussing sws-8 on a seperate thread where one member added a 4mm spacer when he installed them. any idea whether that is required or just cream on top?

In the E60 the spaces are not needed. The earthquakes seems to fit in well.

I am interested in upgrading my base system, is front speakers the biggest bang for the buck?
What brand should I use?
What about under seat subs?

I have upgraded my under-floor speakers to SWS8's and fitted Logic 7 mids and tweeters in the front doors. I am driving the subs and new door speakers with a pair of extra amps mounted under the front seats. All looks standard and the sound is massively improved. I have left the rear speakers standard, but fitted tweeters, which like the fronts are plug and play.
On my LCI car the Sub enclosures had ribs in the bottom that I had to dremel out to get the SWS8's to fit. Much neater than a spacer that raises up the speaker risks that the speaker cone would foul the seat runner or carpet.

With regard to the under seat subs are the wires in place or did you have run new ones?
Did you need to change the I Drive setting?

hm, that came 1 day too late I'm afraid. I've ordered the Logic7 tweeter and mid-range for the door. Meantime I've ordered a set of Earthquake SWS-8 subwoofers, pared to an Earthquake TNT T1000W2 amp. I plan to plug the amp into one of the rear roof mounted speakers, with a remote on-off wire coupled to the cigarette lighter outlet in the boot area.
In case anyone know of a pictorial dealing with a similar install, please let me know.
