Sound
when I bought my car used from a BMW dealer here in SC, they had Logic7 listed as an option on the car. I think the system sounds great and the car has underseat subs, but on my options list I have
"S677 HiFi system Professional DSP" listed. Is this the same thing? I do not see a Logic7 option in my iDrive menu, but maybe that has to do with my having the non-nav 6.5" screen? *also anyone notice their radio reception become very distorted when driving at HIGH speeds? Not sure if it also affects AUX input Thanks |
To find out for sure, plug your VIN into a VIN decoder like https://www.mdecoder.com/.

I've already done that and listed the option code on my list

I'm not sure what you would expect to see listed in iDrive. I have the Individual Audio package and there's nothing mentioned in iDrive. All I see is the option to switch between Stereo and Surround as well as a 6 band equalizer. I also have the small iDrive screen without navigation.

dang I don't think that I have that option to switch or more than a 3-band eq but I will have to double check; I read on another forum that one of those two screens displays a Logic7 logo. I've also read that the hi-fi option I listed (code S677)is actually the mid-level audio option for Europe! Maybe Canada got the real deal; I'm interested to see what other LCI US owners say.

Solved
well I'm an idiot. I never bothered to scroll past the Treble/Bass and Fader screens, but there they were. The full EQ and the Surround Settings. And on the Surround Settings screen is where you can find "Logic7" in the bottom left corner :notworthy:
I don't understand why they would have treble/bass along with a full eq but either way, thank you for the help |
