My Ride: 535xi Sportwagon
Something missing in the Engine Bay?
Hi everyone!
Great forum! Just replaced my (totaled) M5 with an 08 535xi Sports Wagon. Looking at the engine compartment, seems like something should be hanging off the bracket shown in the pic below. On M5, this was an air filter assembly.
Can someone confirm this isn't a missing component? Looks like there's room for a couple more turbos

My Ride: 2006 525d M-sport,19" staggered style 95 wheels,custom quad exhaust with modified reiger rear bumper insert,LCI front and rear lights,stage 2 custom remap, DPF removed, cat removed
They tend to use brackets on several models,as you say it's used on the M5 but that mount must have the same bolt pattern and it doesn't look like its been used.
So i would say there is nothing missing

Just wanted to thank you guys for the feedback. It's a mystery for a while, but dealer says nothing's missing. Going to check bentley service manuals next... Just came in
