What cross bar system?
To me the best cross bar would be have low noise and be easy to remove. |
I have the OEM cross bars. A little noisy by themselves, but tolerable, however once you put attachments on them they are noisier (at least with a Pano roof and the sun shade open). They take about 5 mins to install because you have to tighten them with a torque wrench they provide. I had a bunch of attachments from my Audi rack system (prior car) that fit perfectly, as they are both made by Votex. So if you do go the OEM rack way, you can price out attachments from VW/Audi v. BMW v. Mini, all the same mfg, to see which attachments are less expensive.

I have Thule Aerobar 861 with Rapid System 757 feet, accompanied with Deluxe 726 carriers. Works for me.
