It was SO much easier than doing it on my 3 series.... OMG. I cursed and yelled when doing it on my 3, it was so frickin' tight in there and it took me like an hour for each side.

But with this car, it literally took 5 minutes per side!

I'm really happy with the results too. Went with these bulbs:

BMWLED Angel Eyes H8 40Watts

The guy was really great to deal with actually in terms of communication and service.

Here are the results:

Can you re-post the link to the bulbs? Looks great!

Looks like they renamed their website. These look like the ones I got, but it may be that they're not as bright... Not sure why it says 20W vs. 40W in the link above. I wonder if the above was marketed as 40W total, which I've seen some do... Or these new ones are just 20W vs. the 40W I got.

My invoice said:

SKU: 1044 BMW LED Angel Eyes H8 40Watts $90 regular, paid $60 on Black Friday.

You might want to check with them to see if they're the same or not.

BMW LED 20Watts Angel Eyes

Interesting thing is that I went with the super high end ($) Lux V4's around the same time for my DD 3 series, and while I'm very happy with them, these bulbs which are less than half the price, seem to have the same light output, so I don't think on this car at least (which has better optics with its AE's IMO than the 3 series - the outer ring lights up quite well), you need to pay the big bucks for the Lux lights. I hope reliability with them won't be an issue down the road, but at 1/2 the cost, I guess you could replace them a couple times!

It looks like it may be these you have. Closer in price to what you paid:

Just purchased these as my stocks are a dull yellow.

Shipped yesterday...

no Idea when they will go in as I have an unheated garage in MN, thus... it will likely not be above freezing for the next month or so...(-8F tonight)

Looking forward to the upgrade.
