How do you change the rear wiper blade? The owners manual is useless when it comes to basic maintenance and I don't have a repair manual yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Just pull the inner arm out. I tend to lever it, using the arm itself from one end. The normal looking inner just clips in.

It can be a bit stiff. I say normal looking because I've yet to find a normal arm that fits the spindle and is narrow enough to fit properly. Even though the original arm is Bosch a normal Bosch 15" (or whatever it is) doesn't fit properly.

Hm, how many "arms" are there? I count one! Or are you referring to the rubber blade itself? I.e. leaving the arm put, sliding the rubber blade off and sliding a new one on the existing arm? I haven't done this myself and am curious to learn, but I don't quite get your description, I'm afraid.

Allright, I guess you are referring to item 1. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...21&hg=61&fg=45

I just want to replace the wiper blade itself. I was having trouble getting a good look under the blade cover because of snow and ice so I was hoping for some experienced input.

Thanks for the help. Also found answers in the section of the manual about replacing components. Didn't realize there was such a section.
