My Ride: BMW 530 M Sport Touring 2005, Silver grey, automatic gearbox, Active Steering, Storage Pack, Panoramic sunroof
Default

Does anyone recognise my problem with the rear window opens at any time? Sometimes when I've driven for a while, stops and puts in neutral or parking, the rear window opens. Yesterday, the window was completely mad, every time I closed it, it went open again. In the end I had to drive with the bloody window open.
The dealer adjusted a micro switch some weeks ago, but without appearent result.

Experienced this on a demo car I had home when I was to buy the 535d. I think it was fixed with a SW upgrade.

Yep - I had this and know exactly what the culprit is.

Under the rear spoiler on the roof is the lrear light and that houses the key fob alarm control unit jobbie. This has had water get into it and gone loopy. You need a new one under warrantee. My Radio presets kept getting lost also and the back window popping open all the time. Fixed by replacing the unit.

Cheers...Alex

I had the same thing, did it drain your battery too?
I went back 3 times with this problem and they said that it was because of the short trips I make (less than 50miles).
Never believed that story though becaused I had the same problem after very long trips.

Exactly - that was well. Makes me laugh as I did at least one 200 mile journey a week.
