Does anybody have any idea how to test these park distance control modules or is it a case of buying one in the hope it cures the problem? thanks Paneuro.

Hi Josh, thanks for the info, unfortunately I don't have any of these things. the only thing I have is Carly and according to most people it's rubbish. Anyway for some unknown reason Park assist has came back to life but I have to say I have lost a bit of confidence in it particularly when going backwards? I will have to keep checking how much space I have behind me, until I regain my confidence unless it breaks down again.I will let you know how it goes. thanks Paneuro.

Hi, the park assist is playing up again, when I put the car in reverse I am getting a continuous signal as if I am up against something at the rear when in fact there is nothing there. I just have to switch it of as it is annoying. Anybody got any ideas? thanks Paneuro.

What do you see on the iDrive screen? Do all 4 sensors show something is up close, or just one of them? I imagine if it's just one of them you could pull the bumper off and disconnect that one. You could also try moving them around to see if the problem persists. One time a buddy pushed on one of mine and it went in about 1/4" (must not have been snapped in correctly) and that one would beep all the time until I remove the bumper and pushed it back into place. ISTA or INPA will show you any codes if they have been set.

What do you mean by saying you see 3/4 on the screen? That 3 out of 4 sensors show you green/yellow/red status? Which one doesn’t show a value? Or, does one of them always show red? Any chance you have a video of your iDrive screen while driving in reverse as you approach a wall? Values showing up ok for the front of the car?

Hi, Its like one quarter of the green / red and yellow is missing on the nearside rear and all I am getting is a continuous high pitched noise as if I am in the danger zone. This begins whenever I put the car in reverse. No beeping whatsoever. I have to switch it of on the dash. I hope this explains it more clearly. thanks Paneuro.
