I went with a similar set up. 19x8.5 ET35 M6 Replicas with 245/40 Continental Extreme Contact DWS all around (square set up). I wanted to preserve the all weather option of the x drive and be able to rotate the tires. The size feels and looks right, the ride is still good as well. The look of aftermarket rims and tires transforms the car... I am experiencing a bit of vibration in between 60 and 65 (both front and rear - not too bad) but probably need a better road force balance. Will post pics soon.

In about 3 weeks I will also post pics with the same tyre size on a stock E63 wheel set.

Have them since last summer, but due to various factors plan to install them only next month.

Absolutely beautiful car. I don't think I have ever seen a red E60/E61 in the States, great color! Wow! What type of rims are those? Very nice!

Just picked this '08 535xi up on Saturday and I am in LOVE.

Ordering either the Prior Design Freestyle Kit or the M-Tech Kit this week. Keep an eye out for this one as I'll be posting the build on it step by step. Stoked! Post a NEW picture(s) of your E61-img_1178.jpg

Thanks Theo! Just dropped her off to get the headlights restored. Purchasing the Intake, angel eyes, and possibly exhaust tomorrow.

Any recommendations on exhaust?

Here's the link to the Body Kit I'm thinking about: http://www.priordesignnorthamerica.com/e61
Gotta see if it works with the PDC function, though.

What's wrong with the headlight (covers) to need "restoration" ?

What intake? I've been told you don't really gain anything by doing that.

Doesn't the bmw already have "angel eyes" ?

Exhaust. Do some thinking... why are you going to do it, sound or actual performance? One does not necessarily equate to the other. Also, not all sounds sound good over an 8 hour highway trip.

I think you could do a full downpipe deal, which is what I did on my Audi S4 Avant 4.2 but on the E61 I just went with the Dinan exhaust which is nice without being annoying on all-day drives or with passengers in the back.

For angel eyes, I'm guessing you want to upgrade to the LED ones so they're brighter and match the HID look? Lux V3 AFAIK are the best and brightest out there.

I see that's an M5 here in WA.

From what I understand, it's a simple swap of the light bulb. At least on the E90's it is, and from what I recall reading, same process for E60's. Could be slight differences for LCI vs. pre LCI cars. I've upgraded mine to a halogen, but xenon coloured bulb on my E93 and it was easy. 20 mins or so, just need smallish hands.... I used GP Thunders, which were like $20. Mainly colour change achieved, not much brighter. LED's are way brighter and the way to go for the current model look.

Search for Lux V3 and you'll find their website with DIY guides. They're one of the most expensive out there, but have the best reviews AFAIK, and are the brightest. Lots of reviews on them on E90post.
