Parking and inner tail lights not working
Hi..Im new to BMW (just bought a 06 530xti yesterday!!!!) So the only issue Im having and I have not found an answer to it:
My inner tail lights do nothing and my angel eyes do nothing. Im getting errors for both front parking lights and both rear tail lights. Iv visible checked one of the rear bulbs and it looks fine. Iv looked at the fuses in the glove box (5/6/19) and they looked good. Also Im very excited to be a part of the BMW world, I have wanted one for many years...thanks

welcome and congratulations from one xiT owner to another.
sounds to me like a bulb issue if you are getting CAN BUS errors. you say that you've visibly checked them, but that's not always the most reliable indication of a good or bad bulb. one of my angel eyes was out when i bought the car and i had to replace it. some people prefer an LED "upgrade" of sorts to look like the newer models, but i replaced mine with an OEM hella bulb from amazon. supposedly you can remove the angel eye bulb without removing the headlight but you would have to have the hands of a toddler to do it. removing the headlight takes 2 minutes and gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with all the other bulbs in there.

Im excited to wrench on it a little (iv been working on cars all my life) but Im just thinking that it isnt the bulbs due to both inner tail lights and both parking lights being out all at the same time..but I will clean up the connector and replace the bulb later to see whats up.
