I have a 520d and the peak power comes in strongly at 2k revs. I say comes in strongly, when I actually mean starts. It has nothing between 1200 and 2000. Does you remap improve this or make it worse? I often find myself driving along in 4th gear to avoid the hole below 2k revs and I'm pretty sure it is killing the economy.

Or, is there still something wrong with my car because I still occasionally get an engine "stutter" when travelling on a light throttle at between 1800 and 2200 revs.

If a remap will cure all this I'm sold.

Maybe, but we are talking about 'factory' tune rather than remap... Too many compromises with factory tune...

Just off topic a little but I would like to ask sguillard which tunning chip he's used to get this type of power up grade for his 520d.
I'll be receiving my E61 LCI 520d with autobox in May and am looking into ways of increasing the power - torque mainly.
