That isn't an LCI model -- it has the pre-LCI shifter / rear lights / alu-cube trim / etc.
He probably drank to much Belgian beer before writing his comment above about the new auto

LOL!
I did drink a couple of beers......(love the Belgian beer!). My GF gave me a weekend Bruges. Must say that's it's a nice town and it exceeds my expectations. A bit too romantic to go to with the guyz on the other hand...........
It's not an LCI model, but the auto is a lot better than my old 530d. It now 'locks' in all gears, the old one only 'locked' in higher gears. Can't wait to get it remapped!

What remap are you going for?
Its something I may also consider, but the Touring I have bought has 90K on the clock, so not sure if its a good idea to do it? Is your Touring lower miliage?

My former 530d was also re-mapped by them, and they did a great job. They also removed the speed limiter and it easlily did 260 km/h+ on the meter. A Touring would have a little bit lower top speed, but it would be enough! It's no extra stress for the engine at all, as long as you use your car 'responsible'. My biggest concern was the auto transmission, as there is not any 'lock-up' in the first three gears (the new auto is better on that point). Btw, that car had 175,000 km on the meter!
They also re-mapped my old 318d Touring (E91). I went to Austria and pushed the little engine to the max. for over 2,500 km (200 km/h+ the whole trip). They did a great job on that car! To be honest: the 318d really needed a remap, as it was slow as hell before.....
PM me if you want the adress (the 200,- is a discount price).

I've been debating a remap for a while now, but you've done a great job of convincing me, not least with that price tag! What, if any, are the downsides of getting a remap?

I think the transmission is the 'weakest' part. Just make sure you don't use the 'torque slip' (don't know how to describe it porperly) too much on full power (use the steptronic ), and it won't break!
I'm thinking of remapping it in Januari, together with a friend of mine who has a new 318d. If you like, I can get you the same discount?
Oh, one downside is that when you receive a software update, the remap is also gone . This company will remap your car free of charge!
