Hello
I have a 525 e61 I wonder if anyone have lowerd a Bmw e61 with air suspension in the back? How do you doo it? Can they lowering in the computer on Bmw dealers? In front im going too have coilovers but i dont know how too doo it in the back. Best regards Patrik from Sweden. |
Hej Patrik
they'll use computer to slam the rear. I'm having it done next monday by BMW V?ster?s. They quoted roughly 1000 SEK for the job and another 3500 to swap the springs in the front and since they are quotes I expect it to be the maximum. Seems a little expensive but I guess it's more work than just replacing the entire shock/spring assembly. Money well spent anyway to get rid of the current X5 look :) |

Two ways to do it:
-slam it down with the computer -rotate the bearings that the suspension has. One each side. ;) |
What do you mean by "rotate the bearings that the suspension has. One each side." Thx.
|
Yes i wonder too? Do you mean that strange bolt that hold the air suspension?
|
I maked the bearings that give the signal to the car what heigt the car has shorter. so now the car is lower but not enough to me. About two centimetres and the car is about 5cm lower now.

I hope Tiago does not mind about me using a picture of his car!
