I have heard that somebody is saying that the automatic is much better on the lci is that right ?
I can also see that the engine is new on the lci model, but what is changed ?

Regards

automatic is indeed improved on the LCI, shifts faster, has a better sport mode software, and has an additional hydraulic valve in the toque converter which is responsible for the better fuel economy. but the pre-LCI box is not bad either, I don't have any issues with mine. if you often drive sporty on winding roads and want really fast and adequate automatc behaviour under such conditions, you will appreciate the difference.

engine is the same. power increase is just cosmetic, and only changes are in the intake manifold - no swirl flap risk. but i have heeard reports that it leaks oil often and you can not replace just the gaskets as on the old one (30 EUR), you have to buy a new manifold (800 EUR).

Could mean that, I'm not 100%.

The autobox is totally different to the E39s GM box. The E60 uses a ZF one.
