Hi to all of you, guys.
This morning I could see my new car for so long dreamt.
I cannot drive it yet, because the dealer is still waiting the final bill and the invoice from Munich BMW headquarter. So he needs time to arrange all the papers.
Hope it will be soon.
Promise: pictures ASAP.
I've been reading this forum since June: it's simply great!!Many thanks to all of you for that.
A lot of tips, which my dealer wasn't even aware of!
Forgive my English, because I'm not a native spaeker.
I work near Heinsberg (Germany), but my family is in Italy. All of them are looking forward to seeing the new 530...I'm simply dying, I can't wait more...
I'm working to be one of yours for the meeting in Taunus, I hope to have my car in time and have my working schedule not busy for that day.
See you soon!

Welcome, skorpyo25. Don't worry about the English, you are communicating 100%. Most of us have been through that waiting experience, and as the farmer says, "You are in the short rows now." It won't be long and you will be showing your prize with pride. Looking forward to the pictures.

I think the extended light is the amber interior lights, reading lights and the lights under the mirrors, universal remote is the garage door opener... I guess...

Iceman, you got both of them exactly. As you already posted, the universal remote controller is a device located inside the internal mirror. Three buttons are programmable and they replace three different hand held remote controlled equipment such as door openers or house alarm.
The light package is a number of small orange lamps mounted on lower compartment of doors and on the central console of the roof.

I've got the lightpackage too. I really am happy that I have this option. It lights the car out so nice at night.

I am looking into retrofitting the garagedooropener by changing the mirror. But have to wait untill my house is finished to see if it is compatible (and if my car fits in the garage )
