Installed H&R springs on 530xi but still big wheel gap
#1
Bought some H&R lowering springs for my 06 530xi sport wagon. To my surprise, when I rec'd them, there were only two. Retailer assured me my wagon's self-leveling mechanism would bring the rear down to match the front. Installed the front springs and exchanged the stock 17" five spokes with 19 x 8.5s. I'm not too thrilled about the big wheel gap that still exists. What's the best way to minimize the wheel gap? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I remember reading on this forum that you can change the pivot position of a pin that's tied to the rear suspension of the AWD wagon... you might want to do some digging. If my memory serves me right, then this was able to mechanically lower the rear suspension.
Good luck,

I guess the springs will sit down a little better after a few days of driving so if you have too much gap in front you can give it some time for breaking in. In the rear you need to either reposition some brackets or get someone to program the suspension to a lower position. I went for the latter alternative and it has been working well. If you search the forum you will find loads of info on this.

when I installed the H&R sport springs on my e46 xi there was still a gap but once the springs settled the gap was a bit smaller but not totally gone. Once the settling finished I was happy with the look so I say wait a bit and see how it looks.
