Anyone who has some advice when importing a e90 touring from for example usa?

I am thinking since the dollar versus swedish currency seems a bit ok it would be an idea to maybe try to look up a nice car over there.

I have yet to find a reliable online search engine like autoscout24.com that I can search for american e60:s but all sites require a stupid zipcode and stuff like that from your "home in the US" ... doesnt they have visitors from other countries?

Any advices or maybe swedish or other companies that can help me import a car from the US?

Remember that it's not just about buying a car - you need to get it specified according to "EU-standards". A that's not cheap.

So its more cheap to buy from EU I guess

If I get it from US I can get it without tax (25%). Would that be worth it even after getting it "EU-specified" ?
I mean the car is built in EU... its not an American car from the start so it cant be that much costs involved in getting it converted back to EU (?)

The car is built for US spec, so there will be a lot of changes. If you for example buy an X5 in Sweden it's built in Spartanburg US (an "American car" in your words), but for EU spec.

Try to find out how much is costs for a conversion, add shipping costs and fees when you get it here. Good luck!

You also need to pay customs duty and on top 25% local tax. (in Swedish "moms") on the total amount.
and that?s incloude, Purchase price, freight charge and customs duty.

I think that must be more easy to buy a used BMW in Germany if you don?t buy it in Sweden.
