Default How often does/should the self-levelling compressor activate?

When I first got my 2006 530xiT back in January it seemed like the compressor for the self levelling rear suspension went off almost every time I put things (including kids) in the rear of the car. Now I can't remember the last time it activated.

How often does (or should) the compressor activate?

I hear it every time I turn the car on, that seems to be the normal behavior.

does your any of your wagons' rear deflate after being parked a few days in the garage? could that be a sign of a leak?

No, it doesn't deflate. I would think it is indeed a sign of a leak.

Default INPA to the Rescue!

Do you know anyone with INPA to check it? I actually had an electrical glitch that reset mine into production mode and suddenly stopped the compressor from leveling the car. A quick check of codes and disabling production mode with INPA was all it took to restore it to normal.

BMW control/diagnostic SW. Search this forum, coding forums for BMW Standard Tools, or just Google INPA for more information. You'll find the actual SW only in the dark corners of the internet.
