I parked the car in a dusty environment with the sunroof tilted for a week, and a lot of dust got collected on the top of the shade part of the roof (under the glass).

I want to remove the shades in order to clean them - how can I do this?

Sorry I don't have the panorama roof and I don't know what parts you're exactly meaning, but maybe you can find your answer here:

Thanks Antti, very helpful. It seems though that the floating roofliner can only be removed after the glass pieces are out.

I won't be doing this as its too complicated, but I have copied the TIS instructions in this Word document for anyone that might be interested in this in the future:

Has any one removed the sunshades using this method? Weíre missing one of the sunshades and would like to replace it, not sure which one, are they both the same? Hopefully its also something I can do myself...

I did it this past weekend. Disassembly is not hard, but I expect reassembly to be somewhat tedious getting the sunroof glass into proper alignment.

The front and rear sunshades (aka floating headliners) are NOT the same. The forward one is larger than the rear.

My experience outlined here:

Thanks for the info! Iíll be on the lookout for how the reassembly goes...wish I had a garage to do this work. Iím assuming the consensus is having a shop do the work is not viable....

You're welcome- hope it helped. I've updated the post with some info on re-installation. Bottom line, getting things realigned wasn't as bad as I thought.

If you didn't want to DIY this/go to a dealer, I'm guessing an auto upholstery shop would do it for you. Looks like you're in the same area I'm in- I've used both Sure-Fit in Arlington and Pollet Automotive in Fairfax without any issues.

Have you figured out which panel is missing & sourced a replacement yet?
